Saturday 18 November

Visit South Wales and experience two very different venues in one day! In the morning we visit the Big Pit - The National Coal Museum of Wales. Big Pit is a real coal mine and one of Britain’s leading mining museums. Descend 92m underground for a guided tour with a real miner! The miners, now retired, are extremely friendly and have wonderful stories to share. The exhibitions are also well worth visiting; and the miners’ café with a delicious café menu is a great place to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a Welsh cake. In the afternoon we visit the elaborately decorated Cardiff Castle, which dates back nearly 2000 years. Enjoy a guided tour, visit the ‘interpretation centre’, then explore the grounds with your own multi-media guide, plus free time to explore the capital city. Leave BISC 8.00am, UWE 8.15am, return by 7pm. Costs £29 and includes return coach fare and entry fees. BOOK SOON!!
