BONFIRE NIGHT
Saturday 5th November
Join in this great British tradition of having a bonfire and learn some history about Guy Fawkes’s failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament! Meet at BISC for soup and rolls around the bonfire & try lighting a sparkler too! Afterwards, we will walk up to Clifton Downs together for a spectacular firework display. Starts at BISC at 4.30pm. Christianity Explored
starts Wednesday 16th November
Christianity Explored is an informal course for people who would like to investigate Christianity. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. You're not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen. We meet on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm with a meal, talk and discussion. Starts Wednesday 16th November. The course runs over 10 weeks; 5 weeks this term and 5 the next term. We start with a meal together, then have a short talk before a time of group discussion where you can ask questions. It costs just £2 each time for a 2 course home cooked meal.

Stonehenge & Salisbury Cathedral - FULLY BOOKED!

In the morning we visit Stonehenge, Britain’s famous ancient stone circle, for an audio tour of the mystical stones. Lord of the Dance
Tuesday 22nd November
Enjoy a trip to the theatre to watch Michael Flatley’s award winning ‘Lord of the Dance’ -a Celtic dance and music extravaganza, based on Irish folklore. This spectacular and energetic show, featuring contemporary Irish dance, is not to be missed! We have tickets in the front row of the Upper Circle. Price £25 (usually £32.50!). Book early to avoid disappointment. The show starts at 8.00pm at the Bristol Hippodrome.
