If you’re looking for a place to practise your English and get to know some local people, then here are some options around the city.
St Matthew's English Conversation Group
Emmanuel City Centre
Emmanuel Church provides free informal English classes for all levels, led by a group of volunteer English teachers, on Tuesdays 7.30-9 pm.
Classes are followed by a chance to practise your spoken English with some friendly locals with a cup of tea. You can also learn more about the Christian faith. We'd love to meet you - everyone is welcome!
We meet face-to-face every other week at: Emmanuel Meeting House, Narrow Lewins Mead, Bristol BS1 2NN

If your first language is not English, our English Conversation Group is a great opportunity to practice speaking. Through conversation, activities, and games, it will help you improve your spoken English skills. You can make new friends and chat with local people.
We welcome people of all nationalities with different levels of English. This is a free class.

Look for the smaller red door on the right of the building. There will be a sign for English Conversation Group. Ring the bell for Hall & Office.
