What’s Palm Sunday?

Many churches celebrate Palm Sunday, which is always the Sunday before Easter (March 28th 2021). This marks the day on which Jesus entered Jerusalem to celebrate the Jewish festival of Passover. People were so excited to see him arrive that they waved palm branches, which is why the day is called Palm Sunday. (Unfortunately, these were the same crowds who wanted Jesus to be executed a few days later!)

Bristol Cathedral (where you are now) is one of this city’s jewels. Sadly, it’s closed at the moment, but you can still take a virtual tour HERE.
